I began photographing life’s moments at Tanglewood when I was still a child. Curiosity about the human condition has lead to a broadening curiosity for all sentient beings. Love of the natural world is evident in my diverse landscapes, thrilling animal photos and peaceful wonders all around us. Unexpected moments juxtaposed with ordinary life motivate my passion for street photography. As one viewer of his work recently commented, “Phil sees. He really sees.” when presented with a gift of one of his nature photos. And it’s true. The camera becomes an intimate companion, an instrument of creative vision that never ends and is always abundantly available.
