The first “serious” photographs I ever saw were of the Vietnam War. I was just a kid. I remember wondering who took these and why.

Photography that began with a question I couldn’t shake — and still hasn’t let go. Rooted in the traditions of Cartier-Bresson, Capa, Davidson, Eggleston, Leiter, Marshall, Maier, McCurry and Mann— the photographers whose work taught me to see.

So, the “eye” came first— a lifetime of noticing what others seemed to miss. And now, half a century later, day by day, I pick up my own camera to find out.

I bring that same patient, curious and observant eye to weddings, live performances, portrait sessions and documentary work.
